LD8 is really two adjacent data centres linked together by cross-connects. 6/7 Harbour Exchange belonged to Redbus. 7/8 Harbour Exchange belonged to Telecity. Telecity acquired Rebus, then Equinix acquired Telecity. The two constituent data centres are similar but different. For example they have different power systems, cooling, power levels etc, so we feel it makes far more sense to treat them as two data centres, rather than one with two separate specifications.

Although it's operated by international fibre carrier Colt, the data centre is run on a carrier-neutral basis. The data centre was run by Level 3, which was acquired byCenturyLink, which rebranded as Lumen. Lumen's EMEA companies were sold to Colt in 2023.
